VONETTA DeVONISH - Writer (Tasty Clips Contributor) MOVIES: Precious (Great perfomances by strong female-led cast, plus good cameo by Lenny - loved seeing him do even this small role); The Hangover (One word - hilarious); Capitalism, A Love Story (Thought-provoking and terrifying); New York, I Love You (Nice homage to love and relationships in the Big Apple); The Ugly Truth (Better than expected and Gerard Butler was perfect in the role of the crude cad); Sin Nombre (Deeply moving film by promising new director); I Love You, Man (Paul Rudd consistently cracks me up); Taken (Action-packed, intense - Liam was great in the role of the overly-protective father). SONGS: Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart - Alicia Keys; I Am - Mary J. Blige; Give It Up To Me - Shakira. TV: 30 Rock (I joined the party late, but this show has recently become one of my weekly must-sees); The Office (Too funny); Law and Order SVU (Still going strong); The Good Wife (Great cast - Julianna Marguiles has turned this show into much more than the tale of a wronged wife); Dollhouse (Interesting fantasy storylines); CSI (Nice addition with new cast member Laurence Fishburne); The Real Housewives of Atlanta (a guilty pleasure I'm not ashamed of); Tabatha's Salon Takeover (She's British and she's bitchy but she's the best).

TONY DAWSEY (not pictured) - Mastering Engineer (NYC's Masterdisk: Jay Z, Akon, Ghostface, Kid Rock, Method Man & Redman, Nine Inch Nails, Whitney Houston) FAVE '09 ARTISTS: Jay-Z - Jigga did it again with The Blueprint 3, his 11th #1 title of his career. I've been lucky to have been the mastering engineer on nine of them. In a year that the Yankees once again won the World Series, the song Empire State of Mind with Alicia Keys inspired New York and the world. Michael Jackson - His death reinforced his status as the greatest entertainer of all time. Susan Boyle - A musical and marketing story that Hollywood couldn't have made up. This woman captivated people all over the world as someone with a dream and a big heart to match. Lady Gaga - She represented the total package in entertainment. Taylor Swift - She had the top selling CD of the year, and if you didn't know that you probably did after Kanye West interrupted her speech at the MTV Awards.
