


The 10th Annual Urbanworld VIBE Film Festival announced the winners for its feature, documentary, short film, screenplay and music video categories on Sunday (June 25), in a closing awards brunch in New York City. The festival screened 70 films this year, including VH1’s
Last Days of Left Eye, a full-length vivid documentary recounting the final month in the life of
Lisa ‘Left Eye’ Lopes of
TLC. The festival also screened
The Will to Survive – The Story of the Gullah/Geechee Nation, which stares into the spirit and soul of Georgia’s Sapelo Island. In addition, the festival conducted a special screening of Shaft, in the honor of the film’s late director
Gordon Parks. The winners are as follows: Best Narrative Feature Film:
